A Membership Community

The Recovering Human

where we recover our humanity from the world of work

A community for working women who are disillusioned with corporate America and are tired of being told they’re the problem.

YOU BELONG HERE IF…

  • You believed in the American Dream and followed the roadmap, but don't feel the fulfillment or see the rewards you were promised.

  • You leaned in. Then you saw who it actually worked for.

  • You spend nights and weekends playing catch-up, ruminating on workplace politics, and coping with the stress of it all.

  • You've read the self-help books and used your company's wellness benefits, but you still feel burnt out.

  • You want to make a difference on social and political issues, but have nothing left to give outside of work.

  • You see your co-workers struggling and feel complicit in something you can't name.

  • You feel disconnected from yourself and from other people.

It’s not just you feeling this way and none of it is a personal failing. It’s what the last few decades were built to produce.

Hi, I’m Rebecca Grey.

I'm a coach, community builder, and writer.

I spent two decades inside corporate America, most of it leading work on culture, social impact, and community. This gave me a raw perspective on what people are dealing with in their working lives, and the gaps within our systems.

At the same time, I’ve spent years building community and hosting safe-space conversations. I know that these often provide the best opportunities for healing and connection. But when corporate interests are present in a room, they often keep discussions surface-level, politically neutral, and focused on individual issues rather than systemic change. This has none of that.

I believe change is possible with honesty, willingness, and courage—supported by community.

I built this because it's what I needed, and I know others may be looking for it too.
